MISSIONS / JOB DIMENSIONS
The job holder is responsible, under the Pipelines Package Manager’s responsibility, for all the scheduling and progress measurement of Pipelines related activities for the GMP project. The job holder complies with rules and requirements of Project Control (PC) team and shall liaise and coordinate specifically with the Planning and Reporting Lead.

As such, the job holder is responsible for Pipelines activities:

  • Ensuring the consolidation of sites activities (in Iraq and outside Iraq), planning and progress measurement; this includes scheduling and progress measurement activities performed by EPC Contractor(s) during the Execution phase up to end of contract.
  • Coordinating all scheduling, planning, and progress reporting executed outside the fabrication and construction sites.
  • In close relation with GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, developing and maintaining schedules at GMP and GGIP levels, analyzing critical paths and potential clashes, proposing remedial actions/solutions, and monitoring interfaces.
  • Ensuring availability at all times of updated and accurate scheduling and progress measurement documentation available to the PMT.
  • Ensuring reporting at Package level (issue of Weekly Reports, Monthly Status Report...) consolidating all Pipelines activities.
  • Ensuring production of presentations on Management’s request (such as for Monthly meetings, Partners meetings, and the like).
  • Acting as the Project Control Lead for the Pipelines package and coordinating all related Project Control and Risks activities (Cost, Scheduling, Manpower, Reporting, Risks, etc.) in close liaison with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead and Pipelines dedicated Project Control resources (Cost Engineer, Contract Engineer, DCC, etc.).

The job holder reports functionally to the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead and complies with rules and requirements of Project Control (PC) team. He shall liaise and coordinate specifically with the Planning and Reporting Lead and Planning and Reporting Engineers on sites.

The job holder shall observe and impose strict confidentiality of data related to schedule/progress all along the course of the Project.

The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating individually an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.

ACTIVITIES
In particular, among his/her activities, the job holder is required to:

  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE and implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the Project Control team, and specifically with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, from whom he shall comply with rules and requirements.
  • Define (and update as necessary), in liaison with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, a suitable GMP Pipelines Work Breakdown Structures complying with GGIP and GMP needs in terms of progress control, cost control, and reporting, for all phases of the Project.
  • Define (and update as necessary), in liaison with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, suitable GMP Weekly and Monthly Report structure complying with Project needs and develop and issue accordingly detailed and accurate GMP weekly and Monthly Reports (and any other report as requested).
  • Develop, update, and revise the GMP overall Project Schedules as required by GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, and provide analyses and simulations of new schedules also as required.
  • Coordinate the activities performed by the Planning and Reporting engineers on sites, giving clear instructions for consistency of activities among the project.
  • Control the implementation of EPC Contractors’ procedures and schedules, scheduling and progress control methodology; monitor EPC contractors’ execution schedule on site; check and approve EPC Contractors’ progress measurement and progress reports.
  • Timely report to the Pipelines Package Manager, GMP Planning and Reporting Lead, and Project Control Manager, highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern.
  • Ensure and impose strict confidentiality for all the scheduling and progress measurement related documentation produced (whatever its support).
  • Gather ‘lessons learned’ with respect to scheduling, progress control, and reporting matters and provide feedback to Project Team.
  • Prepare minutes of meetings and key messages regarding scheduling and progress, for daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
  • Prepare presentations on management request and coordinate inputs from the different PMT members.
  • Actively participate in schedule risk analysis exercises.
  • Be the focal point with regards to Digital Twin on scheduling, progress control, and reporting matters.

  • The position is located initially in the UAE within the GMP Project Pipelines Management Team during the detailed engineering phase (approx. 1 year and residence basis) and potentially later in Iraq during the Construction & Commissioning stage (till end of 2027 and rotation basis), if not until the end of the Project in the UAE until completion of the Pipelines activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10 Years on Oil & Gas Construction project. Experience in pipeline construction works is mandatory.
  • Degree: Engineer or equivalent.
  • Professional experience: 15 years minimum.
  • Excellent knowledge in Scheduling and progress control techniques and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of Primavera, MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract management.
  • Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule).
  • Ability to work in a multicultural business environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Language: English as mother tongue or fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and/or Arabic language is a plus.
